Donald Trump #SharpieGate Bobblehead Unveiled

Bobblehead commemorating the #SharpieGate scandal now available for pre-order from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

Milwaukee, WI – September 10, 2019 – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the rendering for a limited edition bobblehead featuring Donald Trump holding up a replica of the Hurricane Dorian forecast map that led to the Sharpie-gate saga.

On Sunday, September 1st, President Trump tweeted a warning that Hurricane Dorian would hit several states including Alabama. However, moments later, the National Weather Service in Birmingham tweeted that Alabama would not see any impact from Hurricane Dorian. On September 4th, President Trump showed the forecast map in the Oval Office of the White House to defend his tweet. However, the map, which was outdated at the time of Trump’s original tweet, had the hurricane’s cone extended to reach Alabama with what appeared to be a black marker, leading to #SharpieGate.

The bobbleheads are now available for pre-order in the Hall of Fame and Museum’s online store for $25 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order and are expected to ship in December. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered and come in a collector’s box. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of this bobblehead to the GoFundMe Campaign supporting the Humane Society of Grand Bahama.

“We think this bobblehead is the perfect way to commemorate the #SharpieGate saga that has taken so many twists and turns over the past week,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “This feels like one of those iconic moments that people will remember when looking back at Trump’s presidency, and this should be a fun bobblehead for people on both sides of the aisle.”
