Florida and Miami Football National Champions Bobbleheads Unveiled

Limited Edition bobbleheads commemorating the Football National Championships for the Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes now available as part of new College Football Champions Series.

MILWAUKEE, Wi., August 23, 2019  – Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled officially licensed, limited edition bobbleheads commemorating University of Miami’s five NCAA Division 1 Football National Championships and University of Florida’s three Championships. The bobbleheads features the schools’ mascots surrounded by championship rings for each title on the base of the bobblehead, which is in the shape of the school logo. A commemorative backing lists the years of each team’s titles, which were 1996, 2006 and 2008 for Florida and 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991, and 2001 for Miami.

The limited edition bobbleheads, which are individually numbered to coincide with the school’s last title year–2,001 for Miami and 2,008 for Florida–became available for pre-order today. The bobbleheads are $40 each with a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The bobbleheads are officially licensed and were produced by FOCO exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. The new bobbleheads are the first of seven to be included in an exclusive series of College Football Championship bobbleheads that the Hall of Fame and Museum is releasing leading up to the college football season, which kicks off with Florida taking on Miami in Orlando on Saturday.

The University of Florida was established over a century ago in Gainesville, Florida. In more than 110 years of football, they have been a part of over forty bowl games, won three national championships, eight Southeastern Conference championships, and have produced fifty NFL draft first-round picks.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are historically one of the nation’s most dominant teams in college football. Other than their five Division I championships, the Hurricanes are also tied for fourth on the list of all-time National Poll Championships by the Associated Press. As of 2018, Miami has the sixteenth highest win percentage in the NCAA and seven alumni players inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Recorded after the 2018 season, UM also had thirty-six players active in the NFL, which is the fourth-most players of any university in the nation.

The NCAA recognizes College Football National Champions dating back to 1869 when Princeton and Rutgers were both crowned National Champions. The release follows very popular bobbleheads commemorating teams that have won Basketball National Championships and World Series titles.

“The championship bobbleheads are the ultimate way for fans to show off their school pride,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “We know Gators and Hurricanes fans are among the most passionate in the country for their teams and bobbleheads, so we expect these to be extremely popular.”
