Essential Heroes Bobblehead Series Unveiled

MILWAUKEE – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a first-of-its-kind bobblehead series honoring the world’s essential heroes. The series includes 35 different frontline professions and highlights the often unheralded and underappreciated workers that the nation has come to appreciate more than ever during the coronavirus pandemic.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will be donating $5 from every Essential Heroes bobblehead sold to the Protect The Heroes Campaign in support of the nation’s frontline workers. The Hall of Fame and Museum has raised over $215,000 for the Campaign to date through the sale of bobbleheads featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx, eight U.S. Governors and other individuals who have played a role in the fight against the coronavirus. In early April, Dr. Fauci’s bobblehead became the Hall of Fame and Museum’s best-selling bobblehead of all-time.

As the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the country and sent many people into self-quarantine, it was business as usual for essential employees like hospital personnel, delivery drivers, mail carriers, grocery store clerks, bus drivers, warehouse workers, gas station attendants, food service, sanitation personnel and countless others. The special-edition series, which recognizes these often-overlooked individuals, is being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

The bobbleheads are now available for pre-order exclusively in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. They are $25 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order and are expected to ship in August. Each of the 35 professions is available in a male and female version with both a lighter and darker skin tone. Customers that would like to have a bobblehead shipped directly to a hero can enter the person’s address in the shipping address field.

Considered the true heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic response in America, essential frontline workers have been putting their own health and safety at risk. Their selfless, thankless efforts in doing the critical work of helping keep our country running have enabled millions of Americans to stay safe at home.

“Essential workers that the nation once took for granted have been heroes during this coronavirus pandemic,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “Bobbleheads are the perfect way to honor these heroes forever, and I personally look forward to delivering some to teachers, nurses, restaurant workers and many others who have been so critical during these unprecedented times.”

“We have known since the beginning stages of this pandemic that we wanted to honor the essential frontline heroes who have kept this nation running,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and President Brad Novak said. “We are thrilled to be honoring these heroes while continuing to raise funds for a great cause.”
