Bobblehead Commemorating 2020 Democratic National Convention Unveiled

MILWAUKEE – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a limited bobblehead commemorating the 2020 Democratic National Convention. The bobblehead features a patriotic donkey on a Wisconsin-shaped base with “Milwaukee, Wisconsin – 2020” on the front. The Democratic National Convention was originally scheduled for July 13th through the 16th at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee but was postponed to August 17th through the 20th and made primarily virtual because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,020, and they are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store for $20.20 with a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the format of the 49th Democratic National Convention is substantially different from all previous conventions, with most of the convention being held remotely from many venues across the country. Although most of the convention is virtual, it is officially centered at the Wisconsin Center, where its production is headquartered, where the roll call will be directed from, and where a limited number of speeches are being given.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is expected to accept the party’s nomination tonight to conclude the 2020 Democratic National Convention. Biden selected Senator Kamala Harris of California as his vice-presidential running mate and she was nominated on yesterday evening.

The 2020 Presidential election will take place on November 3rd with American’s going to the polls to choose the nation’s leader for the next four years. The incumbent, Donald Trump, is slated to accept the nomination as the Republican party’s candidate during the Republican National Convention which will also be held mostly as a virtual event from August 24th through 27th

“Wisconsin has become the bobblehead capital of the world, so it’s only fitting that we have a bobblehead to commemorate the 2020 Democratic National Convention,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “Political bobbleheads date back to the early 1960s, and we’re excited to offer this bobblehead to celebrate an unprecedented convention.”

Earlier this month, the Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled bobbleheads featuring the 2020 Presidential candidates including Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Bobbleheads featuring current Vice President, Mike Pence, and Joe Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, are also available for pre-order. All the Presidential Bobbleheads are available for $20.20.
