Syracuse soccer honoring all-time great with bobblehead By Lindsay Kramer

Syracuse, N.Y. —  The Syracuse men’s soccer program welcomes back one of its all-time greats on Monday when it hosts Alex Bono Bobblehead Night.
The former Orange goalie will be on hand to sign autographs before SU takes on Ohio State at 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission and parking are free.
The first 200 fans to enter the main gate will receive a bobblehead. In addition, 10 bobbleheads will be given away during the match. Bono will sign autographs, beginning at 6:15 p.m., inside the entrance to the stadium.
Bono is currently the starting goalkeeper for Toronto FC. He helped the Reds claim the MLS Cup last season when he broke the franchise single-season record for shutouts in his first year as the full-time starter.
Bono signed a Generation adidas contract after his junior year at Syracuse and was selected sixth overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Toronto FC.
The Baldwinsville native earned his first cap with the U.S. Men’s National Team in May, recording a clean sheet in the squad’s 3-0 friendly win over Bolivia. He was also called up to the national team in September for two matches in the Kickoff Series.
At Syracuse, Bono earned first-team All-America honors from the NSCAA and was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy in 2014. He finished his collegiate career with a 39-17-3 record in 59 starts and led the Orange to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
