Full slate of promotions and activities up to bat for Akron’s RubberDucks By Craig Webb
When it comes to minor-league baseball, every night is a promotional night.
The RubberDucks will have 70 home games this season and every game promises excitement both on and off the field.
The planned promotions include 23 fireworks shows, seven bobbleheads and a guest appearance by Cleveland Cavaliers legend Mark Price.

April 13 — Opening Day and magnet schedule giveaway (first 5,000 fans) and Gloria Estefan fireworks with a Main Street Festival from 4 to 6 p.m.
April 27 — Look, My Hot Dog is Green! with a $1,000 giveaway and the Police fireworks.
April 28 — Heroes Assemble! Superhero Day with a Superhero Cape Giveaway (first 1,000 fans).
April 30 — Avocado Toast Appreciation Night.
May 1 — Social Media Night No. 1 with hashtags #QuAkron and #APSBandNight.
May 12 — RubberDucks 5K, Steve Winwood fireworks and Take a Redneck Home With You Bowling Pin Giveaway (first 1,000 fans).
May 13 — Mother’s Day Mom Genes and Jeans.
May 26 — Hapsburg Lives! The Naked Gun 2½ Night with a Quentin Hapsburg Bobblehead (first 1,000 fans) and Lenny Kravitz fireworks.
June 3 — Celebration of Clue Mystery and postgame softball with Akron police and firefighters.
June 22 — Soccer and Star Wars: Return of the Force Night, Cleveland Force replica jersey, Main Street Festival from 5 to 7 p.m. and Star Wars fireworks.
June 24 — Royal Tea Party Princes and Princesses Day.
June 30 — Get a Clu About Major League! Night with a Clu Haywood bobblehead (first 1,000), Canton-Akron Indians replica jersey, ZOOperstars! and Dire Straits fireworks.
July 3 — Kickoff to Independence Day and Toby Keith fireworks.
July 14 — “I Triple Dog Dare You!” Christmas in July Frozen Flagpole Bobble Tongue (first 1,000 fans), Christmas Classics fireworks.
July 20 — Used Car Giveaway, Main Street Festival 5 to 7 p.m. and Rush fireworks.
July 21 — The Price Is Right! Mark Price bobblehead (first 1,000 fans), Mark Price appearance and Counting Crows fireworks.

Aug. 8 — Turn Back The Clock Aeros Night.
Aug. 10 — Fauxback Friday ’70s Night, Fauxback jersey, Main Street Festival 5 to 7 p.m. and Allman Brothers fireworks.
Aug. 11 — Cleveland Football Night, Webster Slaughter Bobblehead (first 1,000 fans) and Matchbox 20 fireworks.
Aug. 25 — Scrubs Night, Ted Buckland Bobblehead (first 1,000 fans), Scrubsactor Sam Lloyd appearance and Phil Collins fireworks.
Aug. 30 — Season Finale: Fan Appreciation Night and Tom Petty fireworks.
