This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled two officially licensed, limited-edition bobbleheads of Oakland University sharpshooter Jack Gohlke who became one of the biggest stars of the 2024 NCAA Tournament with his performances in Oakland’s upset win over Kentucky and Second Round near-upset of Final Four participant NC State.

  • The officially licensed bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in October, are available at this link.
  • Each bobblehead, which will be individually numbered to only 2,024, is $30 plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
  • The bobbleheads, which are the first featuring Jack Gohlke, are being produced in conjunction with Gohlke by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Oakland University.
  • Standing on a basketball court base bearing his name, the first Gohlke bobblehead is wearing a black Oakland Golden Grizzlies uniform and firing up a shot from behind the 3-point line. The second Gohlke bobblehead is also wearing a black No. 3 Oakland Golden Grizzlies jersey. He is posed in the celebration that was shown in the β€œOne Shining Moment” musical montage that capped off the NCAA Tournament earlier this month. After being shown taking a 3-pointer during the lyrics β€œYou’re a shooting star” in the annual clip montage set to the iconic Luther Vandross song, Gohlke was shown shooting an imaginary arrow during his 3-point barrage in Oakland’s first-round upset of Kentucky.
  • In a first-round NCAA Tournament matchup against third-seeded Kentucky before a crowd of 18,586 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Gohlke led the 14th-seeded Golden Grizzlies to a stunning 80-76 victory. Gohlke connected on 10 3-pointers – one short of the single-game NCAA Tournament record – and finished with a career-high 32 points against the heavily favored Wildcats. In the second round, Gohlke made six more 3-pointers and finished with 22 points, but Oakland was denied a trip to the Sweet 16 as NC State pulled out a 79-73 victory in overtime. Gohlke’s 16 3-pointers were the most over a two-game span in NCAA Tournament history.
  • Earlier this month, the Museum released bobbleheads featuring Oakland’s longtime coach, Greg Kampe ($30) and Oakland’s mascot, Grizz ($35). The bobbleheads of Greg Kampe feature the coach wearing his Golden Grizzlies pullover with one available in white and one in black. The bobblehead of Grizz features Oakland’s mascot in his black Oakland jersey on a base with Oakland’s logo.
  • “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Jack Gohlke and Oakland to release these bobbleheads celebrating one of March’s biggest stars,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. β€œJack’s legendary performances will be remembered by fans across the world who were captivated by his incredible performances, and we know they’re going to love Jack’s first bobbleheads.”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
