  • On Monday, April 6th, the Michigan Wolverines capped a sensational season with a 69-63 victory over the UConn Huskies in the National Championship game of the 2026 NCAA Tournament at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • The NCAA title is the second in program history for the Wolverines and 2nd-year head coach Dusty May.
  • Michigan led wire-to-wire after taking a 33–29 edge into halftime, leaning on a balanced attack led by guard Elliot Cadeau, who poured in a game-high 19 points on 5-of-11 shooting and went 8-of-9 from the line. Forwards Yaxel Lendeborg (13 points) and Morez Johnson Jr. (12 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks) controlled the paint, where the Wolverines outscored UConn 36–22 and won the second-chance battle behind 10 offensive boards.
  • Michigan’s 2025–26 season was a historic, wire-to-wire dominant campaign that culminated in the program’s second national title and first since the 1988–89 Wolverines. Under second-year head coach Dusty May, Michigan finished the regular season 29–2 and 19–1 in Big Ten play, both program records, with the 19 conference wins also setting a Big Ten record. The Wolverines announced themselves nationally in late November by winning the 2025 Players Era Festival, blasting San Diego State by 40, Auburn by 30, and Gonzaga by 40 in the championship game — the first time in NCAA history a team outscored AP-ranked opponents by 30-plus in consecutive games.
  • Seeded No. 1 in the Midwest Region, the Wolverines never trailed for long in March, routing No. 16 Howard 101–80, No. 9 Saint Louis 95–72, No. 4 Alabama 90–77, and No. 6 Tennessee 95–62 to reach the Final Four, then dismantling No. 1 overall seed Arizona 91–73 in the national semifinal before grinding out the 69–63 title-game win over UConn. Michigan finished 37–3, a program record for wins, joining the 1988–89 squad as the only national champions in school history.
  • “Bobbleheads are the ultimate way to celebrate a team’s championship, and these bobbleheads will be the ultimate way for Michigan fans to commemorate this team’s historic 2026 national championship,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “These bobbleheads will be must-haves for alumni, fans, students, faculty and staff of the Michigan Wolverines!”
  • Last week, the Museum unveiled a Michigan Wolverines Welcome to Indianapolis Bobblehead commemorating the team and its fans’ trip to Indianapolis for the Final Four.
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019.
