This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first bobblehead of Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. The bobblehead features the sophomore standout who helped Ohio State win the 2024 National Championship and has the Buckeyes off to a 5-0 start this season. The release comes ahead of #1 ranked Ohio State’s showdown at #17 Illinois on Saturday. The officially licensed, limited edition bobblehead was produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of The Ohio State University.
- The limited edition bobbleheads, which just arrived and ship now, are now available at this link.
- Each bobblehead is individually numbered to only 2,025 and the first production run just arrived.
- The bobbleheads are $40 each plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
- The bobblehead features the star wide receiver suspended in the air while making a leaping catch and wearing his scarlet Ohio State #4 jersey.
- Jeremiah Smith is a 6’ 3”, 223 lb sophomore wide receiver from Miami Gardens, Florida. He is regarded as one of the top players in college football this season and will be a candidate for every major offensive award, including the Heisman Trophy, Biletnikoff Award, Walter Camp Player of the Year and Maxwell Award.
- Smith had a tremendous freshman season, shattering all of Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter’s Ohio State freshman records with 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was the 2024 recruiting class consensus No.1 ranked player in the country regardless of position.
- Last season, Smith helped the Ohio State Buckeyes win their ninth national championship in program history and the first since 2014. In the first expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, the Buckeyes outscored their four postseason opponents by a combined score of 145-75.
- In the National Championship Game against Notre Dame, Ohio State built a 31-7 lead midway through the third quarter as Offensive MVP Will Howard threw a pair of TD passes. His 56-yard completion to Jeremiah Smith led to a game-clinching field goal by Jayden Fielding after Notre Dame cut the deficit to 31-23.
- “We know fans are going to love this bobblehead featuring Brutus Buckeye with the Ohio State flag,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “This season was one of the most memorable in Ohio State history given the epic rebound from one of the most difficult loses to four of the biggest wins. This bobblehead and the other National Championship bobbleheads will be must-haves for Ohio State fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff and will become cherished collectibles that are passed down to future generations of Ohio State fans!”
- The new bobblehead is the latest produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum following the Buckeyes’ 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship season. Earlier this year, the Hall of Fame and Museum released a 2024 CFP National Champions Brutus Buckeye Bobblehead and the Bobble Logo, an interactive Championship Counter Bobblehead, a 9-Time National Champions Scoreboard Bobblehead, a National Champions Bobblehead Ornament, and a National Champions Mini Bobblehead as well as a Brutus Flag Bobblehead and a bobblehead featuring Smith’s former teammate and fan favorite, Jack Sawyer. In addition, a Brutus Buckeye Welcome to Atlanta Bobblehead was released leading up to Ohio State’s appearance in the national championship game.
- The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019.
