This morning, to celebrate Nebraska’s 20-0 start to the 2025-26 basketball season, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled two officially licensed, limited-edition Nebraska Cornhuskers Basketball Bobbleheads. The first bobblehead is part of the Ranking Tracker Bobblehead Series and features Herbie positioned on a numbered block that can be adjusted when Nebraska’s ranking changes, while the second bobblehead features Herbie balancing a basketball on his finger. The special edition bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The bobbleheads are being released ahead of 5th-ranked Nebraska’s Big Ten Conference game against 3rd-ranked Michigan on Tuesday night in Ann Arbor with sole position of first place in the Big Ten on the line. Nebraska will take on two additional top-ranked teams including hosting 9th-ranked Illinois on Sunday and 12th-ranked Purdue on February 10th in Lincoln.

  • The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in August, are now available at this link.
  • Each bobblehead will be individually numbered to only 2,026.
  • The Ranking Tracker Bobbleheads are $40 each, while the Herbie Husker Basketball Bobbleheads are $35 each plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
  • Standing on a basketball court-base, the first Herbie Husker bobblehead is positioned on numbered blocks that can be adjusted when Nebraska’s ranking changes. The smiling Herbie is wearing his trademark denim overalls and red cowboy hat, which both feature the Nebraska logo. The second Herbie bobblehead is positioned on a circular base while wearing a basketball jersey and cowboy hat. Herbie is balancing a basketball on a finger with his right hand and giving the No. 1 sign with his other hand. The front of the bobblehead reads “NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS.”
  • Unranked in the preseason national polls going into the 2025-26 season, the Nebraska men’s basketball team finally cracked the Top 25 in the AP Poll and Coaches Poll in Week 6. Prior to its 2025-26 poll debut, the Huskers had not been ranked in the AP Top 25 since the 2018-19 season. The Huskers moved into the Top 10 in the AP Poll in Week 10. It marked the first time that Nebraska had been ranked in the top 10 since a No. 9 ranking on February 28th, 1966. With their 20-0 start, the Huskers shattered the previous record of 10-0 set in the 1977-78 season. Nebraska won its final four games in the 2024-25 season en route to winning the inaugural College Basketball Crown. The 24-game win streak is the longest win streak by a Big Ten team since Ohio State won 24 straight games to open the 2010-11 season. Since the 1995-96 season, the only Big Ten team with a longer win streak is Illinois, which won 29 straight games in 2004-05.
  • “We’re excited to unveil these bobbleheads to celebrate Nebraska’s 20-0 start to the basketball season and rise to the top 5 in the latest national polls,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “With victories in their first 20 games to start the season, the Cornhuskers are poised to make some noise in March. These basketball bobbleheads of Herbie Husker are sure to be a big hit for Nebraska basketball fans and will be must-haves for Cornhusker fans everywhere!”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
