Martin Luther King Jr.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the most influential figures in American history for his work advocating for civil disobedience and non-violent protest. He led the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott and organized the 1963 March on Washington before being assassinated at the age of 39.
